Therapy Through Crafting
You know, most days, I don't even want to get out of bed. My depression takes over sometimes and it paralyzes me to the point where I don't want to do anything. I started crafting to help combat those thoughts to end it all. Creativity has always been a strong point for me. From painting furniture to reorganizing my room every 3 months (lol), I have always loved creating or recreating something. It has helped me when I feel alone and invisible. Crafting can be done in a variety of ways such as, coloring, making jewelry, graphic designing, drawing, writing in a journal (yes this is crafty), making cups (one of my favorite things to do) and the list goes on and on. Crafting allows you to focus on something that you can have a direct impact on. It fills you with joy and a sense of purpose. It's what has kept me from letting go. Let's go on this journey together. No matter what craft you decide to commit to, they're all therapeutic.
